GeoScale adds address autocomplete to WooCommerce checkout, helping customers enter addresses faster and reducing
address errors.
As a customer types a billing or shipping address, GeoScale provides matching suggestions. Selecting a suggestion
automatically fills the relevant WooCommerce address fields.
GeoScale currently supports:
- Netherlands
- Belgium
- Luxembourg
- Germany
- Austria
- Switzerland
- France
The plugin works with both the WooCommerce Checkout Block and classic shortcode checkout.
A GeoScale account with an active subscription and API key is required. The plugin is open source, while the GeoScale
Address API is a separate usage-based paid service.

External Services
This plugin connects to the GeoScale Address API at api.geoscale.io to provide address autocomplete.
When a customer uses address autocomplete during WooCommerce checkout, the plugin sends the following information to
GeoScale:
- Address search text entered by the customer
- Selected checkout country
- CustomerÌtumọ̀ Yorùbá: ’s browser language
- GeoScale address identifier when a suggestion is selected
The storeÌtumọ̀ Yorùbá: ’s GeoScale API key is sent with API requests for authentication. The API key is transmitted server-to-server
and is not exposed to the customerÌtumọ̀ Yorùbá: ’s browser.
This information is sent only when address autocomplete is used and is necessary to provide address suggestions and
retrieve selected addresses.

Human-readable source code for the compiled JavaScript in public/js/index.js is included in src/index.js.
The JavaScript can be built using the configuration in package.json:

Before installing the plugin, you need a GeoScale account with an active subscription and API key.
To get an API key:
- Sign up for GeoScale if you havenÌtumọ̀ Yorùbá: ’t already.
- Go to Billing and choose Add subscription.
- Go to API keys and click Create API key.
To install and configure the plugin:
- In WordPress, go to Plugins > Add Plugin.
- Search for Address Autocomplete by GeoScale.
- Click Install Now, then Activate.
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings > General.
- Find Address autocomplete and enable Predictive address search.
- Enter your API key in the GeoScale API key field directly below it.
- Save your changes.
GeoScale is now ready to provide address suggestions during checkout for supported countries.
