The Simple WP Maintenance Mode will activate a maintenance page with the standard WP messages.
Just logged-in users with editing template capability will be able to access the website while this plugin is activeted.
There is no need any configuration. Just enable or disable the plugin.

The quickest method for installing the plugin is:
- Go to your admin area and select Plugins -> Add new from the menu.
- Search for “Simple WP Maintenance Mode”.
- Click install.
- Click activate.
If you would prefer to do things manually then follow these instructions:
- Upload the
simple-wp-maintenance-modefolder to the/wp-content/plugins/directory - Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress

Plugin is installed and activated, yet I can see the full website as an anonymous user, completely logged out, even on Tor browser, on all devices and different networks.
