Yes. Solid Central uses industry-standard SSL technology to encrypt all communication between your Central dashboard and the client sites you connect to it. Only Central account holders and the users they add can access the Central dashboard once they log in. You can require two-factor authentication to be used to access the Central dashboard.

Does Solid Central work with WordPress.com sites?

WordPress.com offers free website and paid website. Free websites on WordPress.com do not have the ability to install plugins. Paid WordPress.com plans do. Solid Central requires the use of this free plugin and therefore Solid Central only works on paid WordPress.com websites, not free ones.

I formerly enjoyed this simple backup Plugin. However, after a deluge of bulk emails this year, the final straw was receiving *8* – read ’em and weep – EIGHT promotional emails in a single 7-day period during the week of Thanksgiving, I simply cannot recommend this product. In fact, I plan to cancel my pro subscription.

This is another 5 star plugin from the iThemes team. The software is totally reliable for plugin and theme updates and there is no longer any reason ever to fall behind on security and feature updates. The interface sync.ithemes.com interface is well structured and easy to use with all the functionality needed to manage numerous site updates without having to log in to each site.
