This plugin adds a button to the media library and image block, allowing users to generate alt text for images using AI with a single click.
Google Gemini API Key
The plugin requires an API key from Google Gemini and does not require a credit card. To get your API key head to the following URL and generate it: https://aistudio.google.com/apikey
Once you receive your API key go to Settings -> Alt Text Generator and add your API Key.
External services
This plugin utilizes the Google Gemini AI API to generate alternate text for images. When a user clicks the “Generate Alt Text” button, the plugin securely sends the selected image to GoogleÌtumọ̀ Yorùbá: ’s services. The AI processes the image and returns a descriptive alt text, which is then displayed to the user. This functionality ensures accurate and SEO-friendly alt text generation for improved accessibility and search engine optimization.
